T Braun is an artist and researcher who creates virtual worlds and performances that challenge hegemonic notions of gender. They are based in Tiohtià:ke (otherwise known as Montreal), where they are pursuing a PhD in Humanities at Concordia University. Their work explores how queer and trans VR enthusiasts envision the metaverse, create gender-affirming content, and form emergent, imaginative communities. They are currently conducting interviews and co-creating virtual worlds with trans artists in the social VR platform VRChat.

T received their MFA from Montclair State University in 2015 where they served as an adjunct professor in the Art & Design program from 2015 to 2021. Their artwork has been shown at several notable galleries, including the Walker Art Center, the Plug-In Institute of Contemporary Art, the Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts, and the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. They have presented their research at several conferences and universities, including The New School, Angewandte University of Applied Arts, and the University of Sussex.
